Where kids become scientists & naturalists together!

Calling all parents looking for a fun, hands-on day camp opportunity for your 1st-5th grader! AKA Science day camps provide a safe, educational, and FUN indoor & outdoor experience where your child will form friendships and explore exciting science topics: biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering! They'll love our nature-based activities like nature art, group field games &sensory awareness activities, and outdoor exploration & nature play too!

 

The Details:

AKA Science day campers will spend the day exploring, experimenting, observing, and playing with all things science and nature! 

​

• AKA Science Day Camps will be held from 9am-3pm sharp. Check-in as early as 8:45am.

• Camp will be held at the Brentwood-Darlington Community Center located in the Woodstock area of SE Portland. 

• Camps will have a maximum of 12 participants and are open to students in grades 1-5.

• Camp cost is $75/child for 1-day camps, $225/child for 3-day Spring Break camps, and $350 for 5-day summer camps. Partial scholarships are available!

• Campers will need to bring their own snacks and lunches, a full water bottle, and a change of clothes (some experiments can get messy!) We also ask that campers wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather (e.g. rain gear if it's raining, warm clothes if it's cold, etc.) If you need assistance gathering these supplies, please let us know and we are happy to help (ksechrist@impactnw.org).

How to sign up: 

• To sign up, please register at tinyurl.com/AKAScienceCamp

• Once you've signed up, you'll receive a confirmation email followed by an email from AKA Science with payment instructions. A deposit will be required to secure your spot in camp.

• Full payment is due on or before the morning of camp. Payment plans are available upon request.
